About US
With a population of around 136,000, 55% are Black, Savannah is a city of neighborhoods. Often our African-American history has been a side-bar in the telling of the story of Savannah. Many visitors become familiar with the Historic District, but Black history since the 1750s can be found in all areas of the city. Uplift Savannah connects you with OUR PAST, OUR PRESENT and ultimately OUR FUTURE. It is time to focus on US and help our community to continue to thrive.
